The Undersea Well
This piece was made while on residency at Áras Éanna on Inis Oírr. The water of Inis Oírr can feel like a rare thing; crystal clear, cold, alive, holy and precious. The film carries light in a seductive fashion as it slithers, stretches and tumbles across the gallery walls. The accompanying hymn moves in synchrony with the waves, letting the ocean dictate the rhythm and tempo of the work. Not wanting to leave the landscape of the island behind, this piece captures the peace that is so abundant on the island’s shores.
