​Knew Enough To Know Better

A site-specific installation at the front steps of the Newcomb Art Dept at Tulane University, New Orleans. Each night, as the sun goes down, the night light in the space turns on. With it, so too does the terrible sounding ballast. To combat the sound, I made a surround sound installation that switches on in tandem with the light. It harmonizes and drowns out the awful noise. I could have just fixed the ballast but it was much more fun to play with the beautiful space.
